In the supermarket there are various grades of ground beef available.

The cheaper stuff, and the more expensive stuff.
The cheaper stuff costs a lot less than the more expensive stuff.

Ok, the cheaper stuff will have more fat, but will the protein remain the same between the various grades?

I can't obtain a nutritional information chart because it's "not a finished product".

In a calorie/nutrient chart posted on this forum it says protein content is the same between the two grades but I wanted to make sure, so does anyone know??

I'm only familiar with medium, lean, and extra lean when it comes to ground beef.

Does the protein per 100g vary between these?

They all come with a healthy dosage of vCJD! =]

Per 100 grams it should vary. Think about it, if the lean one has no fat, it would be let say 20 grams lighter, so those 20 grams would be filled with something else, maybe protein.

No probably not, because you have say 23g of protein / 100g serving as well as maybe 15g fat / 100g, carbs and other stuff are minimal... that leaves 62g / 100g serving empty, just "space".

Maybe the higher fat beef occupies more of this space. So the protein will still be at 23, but the fat might be 20 as well.

I don't know if this is right or not though.

Ugh I'm getting far too much fat in my diet from all this beef. I would eat chicken, but I can't be bothered cooking it.

The oven doesn't like me, and I don't like it. We have a mutual relationship.
